Tania Reese
by Abel
You look adorable Tania. I really like the outfit, the pose, the setting is nice, and your expression is adorable. However, this isn’t quite a polished editorial shot. It is cute, but it’s a bit safe and uninteresting as an overall shot. The lighting seems a bit dark/off and it washes you out/blends you into the brown tones of the background. Your text is also not very professional/editorial.

I love your confidence in this, Tania. Your look really pretty. I’m not really sure why Victoria’s Secret wouldn’t have you in lingerie since that’s there thing, but your team did good with what they had. I just wish it was suited more to the client and was more high fashion. I don’t know. It’s just looks like your hanging out rather than starring in a high fashion editorial spread.

Amara Hudson
by Abillings
This is an unusual idea…I think it’s interesting and honestly deserving of a full bodyshot (which wasn’t allowed). As a headshot, it just leaves me with a slight confused feeling regarding what is happening. You are beautifully styled – very high fashion, though, so that’s good. Overall, it’s nice, it’s got some fashion uniqueness, but it doesn’t really wow me.At this stage of the competition, your photos are really going to have to wow the judges!
|
Well this is definitely creative and unique! I got to say I was lost for words at first when I first saw this. I wasn’t expecting this at all. I don’t really understand why your photographer would go this route with your background and prop. It’s reading more like an ad for a cause or message rather than a high fashion photo in a magazine. Kind of a shame since your stylist did such an awesome job! Nevertheless, I do think you look stunning.

Victoria Venice
by Jojo
I honestly thought that your team would nail this assignment, Victoria – and you did a fine job indeed! You look amazing, your pose is high fashion and fun, and the whole idea seems to work very nicely! I don’t have much to complain about – except perhaps that this was supposed to be waist-up and it’s hips-up. But overall, your team rocked this assignment.
|
Oh miss Victoria you are giving me life with this! So much fierceness! You look like a mysterious fashion goddess. I want your look! The outfit, accessories, and that hat! Your style squad killed it! I do wish I could read the print better though. This photo is also missing a certain spark or something to make it pop maybe. Maybe a small coy smile? I don’t know, but I applaud your team. You look fabulous!

Baylee Jefferson
by Mizzie
This is such a pretty shot, Baylee. You look elegant and sweet – but to be honest, I’m drawn to the background more than you! That is a stunning view! I do think you look great and this does have a definite editorial vibe to it. The only thing I’d suggest is cropping a bit tighter. The empty space behind you (to the left of the image) isn’t necessary and would force us to look at you more.
|
Wow Baylee! What a beautiful location you got to shoot at. And you have champagne? I’m jealous! I love the classy, playful, and sultry vibe of this photo! I think your photographer should have cropped the photo and filled up the empty space with you, but I think your team did great. Stunning work all around!

Haeju Sorenson
by Strawberrigurl
Excellent work team Haeju! You look amazing in this shot and your team really nailed this assignment. Your expression is perfect and the addition of the male shadow is AMAZING and creative. I really do like this shot – it SCREAMS “editorial spread”!! I could totally see this in a magazine. My only complaint? That this is supposed to be waist up and your shot is hips up! But that’s minor. Good work!
|
Dang gurl! You are literally glowing in this photo! Something about your look and expression really draws me in. Your stylist made you look flawless! The photographer really took a risk with the shadows and lighting, but it gives it a cool laid back vibe that works. I think the ad listing the prices is a little too small and should have been moved over just a bit or better yet left out, but I think it’s an successful editorial overall. Kudos to your team for pulling this off!

Marlee Matson
by TEXASTWANGTONYA
Your shot was one of my favorites of the round, Marlee. You look fabulous here – keep that hairstyle! It suits you very nicely. I like the simplicity of this and I think that it’s a perfect idea for Dior. Dior is subtly sexy and this is definitely that! I really like the blurred background and how your team worked the lighting to make you match your setting. Really, excellent work this round!
|
You are rocking this Dior ad, Marlee! Your look very fashion forward and eye catching! I love your hair and makeup. Your outfit is a bit lacking. You could have use some more accessories, but I think your styling team did pretty good. I do think cropping the photo right at the top of your head was really a poor choice, but I can definitely see this in a magazine.
